Fish Pedicure Makes Waves in Kinsale
Posted: 2011-07-07 15:00:00Soften your soles and prepare for a summer of flip-flops with this latest new beauty craze!
The Garra Ruffa are incredible little fish. They love nothing more than to gently nibble and remove dead skin from your hands & feet. Each fish will release a healing enzyme and very gently exfoliate the dead skin cells from your feet whilst leaving healthy skin untouched. The clever little guys will stimulate acupuncture points which will stimulate blood supply, assist the nervous system and release tension and fatigue.
The Doctor fish are unique freshwater fish that live to serve you! Work that might take you half an hour with a pumice stone takes just minutes with a small army of fish working on it!
As well as removing dead skin, the fish are said to be beneficial in battling skin diseases, muscle trauma and joint disease, as well as rheumatic and neurologic disorders. People suffering from Psoriasis have seen results after therapeutic sessions with the Doctor fish over a period of time.
This skin treatment is certain to bring a smile to your face. The sensation of the fish massage stimulates nerve endings which in turn stimulate the nerve system in a similar way to acupuncture treatments which help relieve the body of tiredness and provide a form of relaxation.
This Doctor Fish phenomenon is making its way around the world and is now available in 'Aphrodite Hills by C Spa' in Kinsale. Exciting new brochure coming soon…..
